About The Weg Ranch

My journey with horses began in Germany, where I grew up riding dressage from the time I was a little girl. Riding shaped my childhood, taught me discipline and patience, and planted a love for horses that never left me. When I met my husband, Jay, and moved to Texas, a whole new dream began to take shape — one filled with wide-open land, community, and everything cowboy.

Our early years together were spent in the Texas Hill Country, where we were blessed to live on just over an acre of land. It was there that I welcomed my first horse, Abby, and for the first time experienced what it truly felt like to live close to the land. Around that same season, we began attending a small cowboy church. It was there that my faith deepened and my life changed forever — I gave my life to Christ, a moment that continues to guide everything we do today.

God blessed us with four wonderful children — two from Jay’s first marriage, and two we were blessed to welcome together while living in the Hill Country. Raising them as one family became our greatest joy and our greatest dream.

Later, life brought us to Corpus Christi, and once again horses found their way back into our daily lives. This time it was cow sorting — a true Texas experience that I quickly fell in love with. One horse led to two… then three… then four. Horses have a way of multiplying when your heart feels at home.

I was also blessed to become part owner of a small business in Sinton, and over time, my heart kept pulling us toward the country. For years, I dreamed about what life might look like if we could truly put down roots — a place where faith, family, horses, and community could come together.

Then, almost unexpectedly, everything changed.

A realtor friend and I went to look at a property — more out of curiosity than intention — and there it was.
A 50-acre ranch.
Horse barns already in place.
And a beautiful event venue with endless possibilities.

What started as a lighthearted visit quickly turned into something much bigger. As I walked the land, I began dreaming — of peaceful country life, unforgettable weddings and events, and even the possibility of hosting church services right here on the ranch. Jay jokingly told friends I was crazy — and maybe he was right 😊 — but God clearly had plans far greater than we could imagine.

The timing felt unmistakably divine. Every detail came together with ease, and the property spoke to our hearts. After we made the offer, we noticed something that felt like a quiet confirmation from God Himself — a large cross formed by the roads on the map just above the property. It was a reminder that we were exactly where we were meant to be.

Why “The Weg Ranch”

The name Weg holds deep meaning for us. Weg is the German word for “the way,” honoring my roots and the journey that led us here. We also chose the name because of the cross formed by the roads on the map above the property — a symbol that stood out so clearly and affirmed God’s hand in this opportunity.

Most importantly, the name reflects our faith.

In John 14:6 (NLT), Jesus says:

“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”

This ranch is a gift from God, and it is our desire to give all the glory back to Him — acknowledging that He is the way that led us here and continues to guide our lives.

Today, The Weg Ranch is not just our home — it is a place meant to be shared.

We invite you to:

  • Join us for Sunday church services, hosted in our venue

  • Celebrate life’s moments with a wedding or event surrounded by ranch views

  • Board your horse and enjoy this peaceful property together

This is only the beginning. We have many dreams for the future, and we trust God completely with what lies ahead. Our prayer is that everyone who steps onto this land feels the peace, joy, and blessing that we do.

Welcome to The Weg Ranch — our little piece of heaven, shared with you.
